What is career freedom?

Often, we think career freedom is when we have ample resources, safety, security and surety.

We have enough money to support a career change.

We feel safe enough in our current situation that we can take a bit of a risk.

We feel secure enough in ourselves to make a career move that might go against the norm.

We have a sense of surety that we will succeed in our next career choice without obstacles or setbacks.

Yes, these are aspects of freedom. And they are also our jailers. We tell ourselves that when these conditions are met THEN we will pursue our career dreams. It will be a no-brainer. We will do it! We WILL pursue our career dreams. No doubt. Just watch me!

And then it is January 2023. You are looking back over last year realizing that you are still doing pretty much the same things as the year before and the year before that. You feel the same sense of blah. Yeah, you can keep doing what you have been doing and you will do it well.  You are smart, accomplished and success driven.

Blah. Blah. Blah.

Now Hear this!

The foundation of career freedom is not ample resources, safety, security, or surety.

The problem is that by waiting to fulfill these circumstances you could be waiting forever to have the career that inspires you. A career that serves others AND yourself. A career of impact. A career that makes a difference. A career that is your form of legacy.

And that is not freedom.

That is career jail.

The real foundation of career freedom starts with a simple 3-step process.

On January 18th at 4:30 pm CT I will be holding a FREE, LIVE Webinar for women tech leaders who have a yearning for career freedom but are not sure how to get out of career jail.
