From the other room my husband hears me say, “Great job, Laurie”. He chuckles and wonders what I am up to.

Well, I am in the midst of a 31-day fitness challenge that includes wall sits, lunges, planks and air punches.

It’s actually takes me no more than 5 minutes to complete each day, but I must say I feel good for hours afterwards!

Plus, I get to compliment myself.  Congratulations to me.

We all love being complimented but sometimes it feels like it has to be for something BIG or it has to come from someone else.

Self-compliments, on the other hand, are an in-the-moment recognition of something you did or thought or said that was a good thing.

You don’t have to wait for anyone.

You can compliment yourself for making a healthy food choice, for tracking your spending, for going to bed when you said you would, for getting your oil changed. So many opportunities for an Attagirl!

Today, find ways to self-compliment!
