For the first blog of 2021 I am going to get a bit woo-woo on you.
I have a deck of Angel Cards. They are sort of like Tarot Cards but have words on them and an accompanying book that gives further explanation of each word.
In about July of 2020 I was feeling a bit at a crossroads with work. I was loving (and still love) the direction we are going with InspiHER Tech; working with women who are creating Careers + Lives they love.
Yet, something was missing. I could not put my finger on it. I decided to shuffle up my Angel cards and I asked these questions:
- What am I missing with my coaching work?
- How else could I better serve?
I spread out the cards face down and picked. The card I drew said Rejuvenation. My whole body was covered in goosebumps.
I knew this was what was missing, I could not fully figure out how Rejuvenation was going to be a part of what I was doing, yet I knew it was essential to where I was taking my business.
Fast forward to December 2020. 1 week ago, to be exact.
I had been feeling blah. It could be 2020 fatigue or simply the extra calories I ate since Thanksgiving. Whatever it was, I wanted to snap myself out of the slump.
As I was sitting by the fire the word Rejuvenation came back into my head.
I knew right then that I had to create some sort of kick-start 2021 Rejuvenation program. Though not directly about careers, when you feel Rejuvenated in life your career will feel Rejuvenated as well.
Then, I started to overthink it. I almost talked myself out of it. I said to myself, “What are the chances of me picking the Rejuvenation card form the deck of 40+ cards again?
Slim to none.
Yet I was compelled to pull out the cards, spread them out on my bed facedown and pick. I picked up two cards not one.
The first was Awareness. Liked that.
The second was…drum roll…Rejuvenation.
I am not kidding.
