Not long after we bought our current house, a storm rolled in with heavy rain. Soon we realized water was seeping through cracks in the basement walls. We called in the experts. They patched things up. Problem solvedโuntil the next big storm. This time, the original cracks held… but new ones opened up. More repairs. More lessons. And the biggest one? Water will always find a way.ย ๐ง Just likeย money.ย ๐ฒ ๐ Letโs Talk Space (and Spending)Recently, Gayle King, Lauren Sรกnchez, and Katy Perry went to space. I heard a comment from Actress Olivia Wilde on one of Katyโs return-to-earth posts: โBillion dollars bought some good memes, I guess.โ Sure, we could see this as a waste of billions. But hereโs another view:ย those billions moved. They flowed out of the billionaires’ hands and into the hands of engineers, rocket scientists, caterers, support teams. Money found a way. Maybe the channel is a million-dollar wedding thrown by an influencer. Money flows into florists, chefs, the band, the planner. Maybe itโs a joyride into space. The money flows into tech, logistics, salaries, innovation. The point is:ย money doesnโt sit still. What About Budget Cuts and Job Losses?Yes, defunding of key government agencies is devastating. People are hurting. But hereโs another perspective: ๐ธ Money is as powerful as Niagara Falls and as abundant as the oceans. It might not be flowing through traditional channels right now, but itย willย find its wayโthrough individuals, foundations, grassroots efforts, galas, rocket flights, fancy cars and everyday generosity. Money wants to move. It loves to flow. Itย needsย people willing to become channelsโฆnot dams. So, letโs pause before we roll our eyes at extravagance. Letโs consider that spending (even the flashy kind) might be moneyโs way of getting unstuck. Of getting back into motion. And movement means Money can flow to where it is most needed.
