Do you see that caterpillar on the branch of support?

That caterpillar is you right now.

It represents you going along in your career and then, out of nowhere, you spot a butterfly, and something leaps inside of you.

The butterfly brings up a yearning … a desire to become that butterfly.

Yet, the caterpillar doesn’t become a butterfly by trying harder.

It becomes a butterfly by wanting a different state of being.

That’s Desire.

You enter the cocoon, but the cocoon is not a waiting room.

It is the rehearsal space for the you that is living your ideal career.

Inside the cocoon, the caterpillar doesn’t look at a picture of a butterfly.

It experiences being one.

It feels the branch beneath its feet.

It feels its wings flapping up and down.

It sees the ground far below before it ever flies.

That’s imagination.

As the image becomes real inside the cocoon of your imagination, something else happens … the caterpillar becomes willing to dissolve who it was in order to create what it desires.

The old form must soften.

The old identity must crack.

That’s not force.

That’s willingness.

And when desire, imagination, and willingness align, the cocoon breaks open … not violently, but inevitably.

Here’s the thing, you don’t create your future by staring at images on a vision board.

You create it by living inside it first.

So, ask yourself:

• What is my career desire?
• How do I imagine I am acting, thinking, and feeling when I am living my career dream?

Then ask:

• Am I willing to let my life transform in all the ways necessary to live my dream fully?
