    About the Principal SQL DBA Position:

    Looking for an Principal SQL DBA that will join our team to improve database systems and processes.

    About the Principal SQL DBA Responsibilities:

    • Identify and correct performance bottlenecks related to SQL code
    • Monitor database trends
    • Develop ad-hoc scripts
    • Contribute to development of Disaster Recovery Plans along with contributing to the technical design of high-level diagrams, data flow diagrams, and component diagrams
    • Staying abreast of the latest technology, providing recommendations for analysis, evaluation and optimization of system improvements
    • Leading and completing projects from start to end
    • Collaborate with Technical Data Architect

    About the Principal SQL DBA Requirements:

    • 7+ years’ experience managing SQL Server Database systems
    • Strong T-SQL skills and SSIS are required
    • Strong understanding of clustering, partitioning and SAN technologies
    • RDBMS, NoSQL, Cloud RDBMS system experience is preferred
    • 3rd party monitoring tools experience including Idrea SQLDM, SolarWinds Ignite, SCOM among others
    • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required
