About the Data Engineer Position:

As the Data Engineer you will collaborate with the development team and traders to identify solutions to match the problem space and harmonize with our internal data platform to keep our trading strategies best in class.

About the Data Engineer Responsibilities:

• Architect data workflows in our data-based corporate environment
• Improve financial analytics platforms that are built around their big data ecosystem
• Troubleshoot and conduct root-cause analysis
• Build data pipelines utilizing AWS, Spark, Kafka and Hadoop

About the Data Engineer Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working with Hadoop, Spark, and SQL
• 2+ years of experience developing streaming data applications using Kafka
• Strong Java, SQL, and Python development skills
• Experience with Python based common data-science toolkits
• Unix scripting experience (Bash, Tcsh, Zsh, Python, etc)
• Experience with DevOps tools such as TeamCity, Gerrit, JIRA
• Experience with running code in containerized environments is a plus, especially Docker and Kubernetes
